The Company owns a controlling interest in The State Bank headquartered in Fenton, Mich. and West Michigan Community Bank headquartered in Hudsonville, Mich. Both banks are full-service community banks offering a wide range of banking services to individuals, small business and government entities in the markets they serve. In addition, The State Bank operates a Regional Community Banking Division under the Livingston Community Bank name, headquartered in Brighton, Mich. Fentura® was originally incorporated in 1987 as a one-bank holding company for The State Bank. The State Bank traces its origins to its predecessor, The Commercial Savings Bank of Fenton, which was incorporated in 1898. On March 12, 2000, Davison State Bank opened for business in Davison, Mich. as a wholly owned affiliate of Fentura Financial. Davison State Bank was sold to Hantz Holdings, Inc. on April 30, 2010. In March, 2004, Fentura Financial acquired West Michigan Community Bank, with offices in Hudsonville, Jenison, and Holland. Fentura financial continues its rich history as a company specializing in community banking.
